Everpia won a series of awards on governance and sustainability in 2022
On December 1, 2022, Everpia JSC is proud to be honored at the Announcement Ceremony of Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) Ranking Ceremony 2022. The award marks a milestone for Everpia's journey of 7 consecutive years of holding a steady "Top 100 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam" title.
CSI is a program to evaluate and announce sustainable businesses in Vietnam organized by VCCI in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL). This year's index includes 130 indexes divided into 5 parts: Enterprise Overview; Main results of the economic - environment - labor and social activities; Management indicators; Environmental index; and the Labor-Social Index, assessed on three aspects: environment-society-governance (ESG). With the theme of "Gender Equality" as the focus, in addition to the existing indicators on gender diversity policy in the Board of Directors, the regulation does not discriminate against gender in recruitment, selection, appointment, promotion, training program, and mentoring female leaders, CSI 2022 has new criteria related to the flexible working mode, equal income policy, child care support for employees. This is an aspect that Everpia is confident has been doing well through policies on salary, bonus, support, and training without gender bias for many years.
Along with the social pillar, the Board of Directors also demonstrates good governance through the field of environment. Accompanying the Prime Minister's commitment at COP26 to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and practicing sustainable development in the textile industry, Everpia is gradually implementing the goal of a "green factory” with Everpia Giang Dien project has high energy efficiency, saving about 23% of water consumption, 47% of the energy contained in building materials compared to the original design and 100% of renewable energy through the rooftop solar power system, reducing more than 500 tons of CO2 annually.
Followingly, on December 2, 2022, Everpia continued to be honored with the leading position in the list of "Top 5 Corporate Governance Companies in Vietnam 2022" (Small Cap Group) at the Vietnam Listed Company Awards (VCLA 2022).
This year's corporate governance evaluation criteria includes 80 criteria built from the principles specified in the Vietnamese Code of Corporate Governance, the ASEAN Criteria for Corporate Governance, and corporate governance principles of the G20/OECD. The content of the corporate governance assessment is not only based on the annual report but also on reliable information that the company publicly discloses to regulators and investors such as the Company's website, the information disclosed in accordance with regulations.
In 2022, Everpia has closely connected and maximized the benefits for stakeholders, especially shareholders and investors, through the creation of dialogue channels, receiving feedback, and immediate answers to all questions to shareholders and investors. The company's website has become the main link channel with quarterly detailed performance reports of the business as well as regular updates of outstanding activities. Previously, the initiative in providing information outside the information required to be disclosed in accordance with regulations helped Everpia reach the "Top 3 Listed companies with the best IR activities" at the Honoring Ceremony of Listed Enterprises co-organized by the Vietnam Association of Financial Administrators, the Finance and Life e-magazine and Vietstock.vn.
The fact that Everpia has been continuously honored with major awards has proven the relentless efforts in implementing the Company's strategy towards sustainable development.
